Hi, I'm Jimena!

I’m a wife, mother, and photographer based in Okinawa, Japan. Living overseas has shaped the way I see the world—slower, more intentionally, and with a deeper appreciation for the moments that often pass too quickly. Photography became a way for me to serve others by preserving the seasons, connections, and people that matter most.

My Heart Behind the Camera

I’m an observer by nature and a storyteller at heart. I approach every session with care—offering gentle guidance while leaving room for real moments to unfold on their own. I’m drawn to honesty over perfection and emotion over posing. The quiet pauses, the shared laughter, the subtle gestures—those are the moments that tell your story best.

My work is faith-driven and rooted in creating for Him. I believe creativity is a gift and that documenting love is a responsibility I don’t take lightly. Everything I create is approached with gratitude, humility, and intention.

What It Feels Like to Work Together

Connection comes first, always. I bring a calm, encouraging presence to every session—helping you feel comfortable, confident, and at ease in front of the camera. I’ll guide you when needed, cheer you on when nerves creep in, and create space for you to simply be yourselves.

Movement is key to my approach. I’ll guide you through natural poses and gentle prompts, but the magic really happens when you forget the camera is there. Think of our session as a date—walk, laugh, talk, hold each other close, and just be you. I’m there to observe and capture what unfolds naturally.

I blend documentary storytelling with thoughtful direction so your photos feel emotional and honest without ever feeling forced. The experience is designed to feel relaxed, unhurried, and genuine—so you walk away with images that reflect how the moment truly felt.

MY STYLE & PERSPECTIVE

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Outside of photography/videography, I love thrifting, staying active at the gym, drinking matcha, trying new food places and chasing a good sunset. Fall is my favorite season—the light, the colors, the slower pace. I bring that same grounded energy into every session so you never feel rushed or overwhelmed—just supported and cared for.

I don’t just take photos—I preserve memories. Moments filled with heart and meaning, captured so you can return to them for years to come.

My creative background began in videography—filming in the gym and creating content for YouTube. Working with movement taught me how to see moments in motion, find the strongest angles, and frame images in a way that feels dynamic and intentional. It also sharpened my understanding of light—how it shapes emotion, highlights connection, and elevates a scene when used thoughtfully.

That foundation carries into my photography today. I’m always paying attention to how you move, where the light falls, and how each moment can be captured in the most flattering and natural way. My editing style is film-inspired and timeless, with warm tones and a soft glow that enhances the feeling of the moment while keeping it fun, honest, and true to life.
